About us

We are a grassroots conservation organization, led by local Rakhine people for the protection of our unique coastal ecosystems, traditional culture and livelihoods. Working with NGOs, experts, and government, we empower local communities and in particular the young people to take control of their resources and build their own sustainable futures. But Myanmar is changing rapidly. Threats to our natural environment and way of life are increasing. The legal structures we need to defend ourselves and our land from exploitation are only now being developed
