‘WISDOM FOR FUTURE FOUNDATION, W Foundation’
The W Foundation (W Foundation) is an international environmental conservation organization that has been carrying out greenhouse gas reduction projects and relief projects in cooperation with government agencies, companies and organizations around the world since 2012. The W Foundation will be the first in Korea to be established in February 2021 by over 20 organizations around the world, including Google, Facebook, Microsoft, World Bank, IKEA, and Bloomberg Philanthropies. together with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) as a major official partner. We are working on a carbon-neutral project together with UNFCCC, and as an official advisory body to the Climate Neutral Now Initiative of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, we provide external advice on greenhouse gas measurement and reduction projects.
‘Solution for Nature’
In collaboration with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate (UNFCCC), along with expert research, we implement solutions for ecosystem conservation and restoration.
(Forest creation, coral restoration, endangered animals support, alternative energy research, polar conservation, etc.)
Water scarcity and water pollution
With the increase of agricultural and livestock industries and factories, the demand for water is increasing and the level of pollution is also increasing. As the amount of groundwater decreases due to excessive extraction of groundwater, the number of countries with water shortages is increasing. In South Asian countries, the problem of increasing arsenic content due to contamination of drinking water facilities is being presented, and there is a problem of increasing impurities in the water supplied through the water supply system.
