About us

Gujarat Rajya Gram Vikas Samiti (GRGVS) is a nonprofit organization committed to environmental conservation and sustainable development across Gujarat. The organization leads large-scale urban forest and tree plantation initiatives, aiming to plant 1 lakh native trees every year using scientific and sustainable models such as the Miyawaki dense forest method. These green initiatives not only enhance urban biodiversity but also help mitigate climate change and improve air quality.

In addition to afforestation, GRGVS implements impactful water conservation projects, including the construction of check dams, percolation tanks, and rainwater harvesting systems across rural and semi-urban regions. These efforts recharge groundwater, support agriculture, and ensure year-round water availability for communities and plantations. Through active participation from local residents, volunteers, and CSR partners, GRGVS is building a resilient ecosystem that integrates greenery with water security for a sustainable future.
