About us

Sustainable Climate and Women Empowerment Initiative (SCWEI) is a Pakistan-based environmental and development non-governmental organization working at the intersection of climate action, environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment, and community resilience. SCWEI promotes practical, community-led solutions to climate change through environmental awareness, climate-resilient livelihoods, women’s vocational and green skills development, sustainable waste management, water conservation, plantation and ecosystem restoration initiatives, and livelihood opportunities for vulnerable communities.

SCWEI places particular emphasis on empowering women and young people to participate in the green economy and build sustainable livelihoods while strengthening communities’ capacity to respond to climate and environmental challenges. The organization works through community engagement, awareness, skills development, partnerships, and locally relevant climate and environmental initiatives.
