About us

Tahadhari Center established in 2021 by leading experts in the field of climate, environment, economy and society - aimed to be a Hub for policy research and resources in the field of climate and migration in the Euro-Med region.
Tahadhari in the Swahili language, which is considered to be the most widely spoken language in the region of the Sahara, countries that are exposed to acute climate crisis followed by forced displacement, means Alert!  the need to put attention and not anymore ignoring, which exactly defines the Center' goals and conducts our activities.   
 The Center will focus on developing knowledge on climate induced migration, works for shape international climate migration policy. Two  of the main focuses will be developing programmes, tools and projects in field for Africa vulnerability, targeted  mitigation of  climate risks and adaptation to climate risks. Second, in  Building Climate resilience communities in Euro-Med in a collaborative work with different stakeholders, that is aimed to advance socio-economic and a gendered approach to climate-induced migration in research, policy and in practice.
The modes of activities will be via  Think-Tanks with divers expertise, include research, media, education and communication.
