About us

The Foundation for Agriculture and Environmental Conservation (FAEC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to working with local communities to provide solutions to address Health & climate change mobility, Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Conservation and Community development to combat climate change and poverty in Sierra Leone and beyond.

Our mission is to create awareness and implement initiatives that support climate migrants, sustainable healthcare, sustainable farming methods, protection of environment, WASH, forest & wildlife conservation, rural renewable energy, education, youth empowerment, gender and rural community development.

The Foundation for Agriculture and Environmental Conservation (FAEC) is a member of National Disaster management Agency, Ministry of Environment, Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) CBD, Children and Youth Major Group to UNEP, Loss and Damage Youth Coalition (LDYC) and YOUNGO | The Official Children and Youth Constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and

Also a leading network to empower youth and rural communities through awareness, consultations, capacity-building and Webinars/workshops both national and international in responds to biodiversity, nature conservation, regenerative agriculture including other SDGs programs.

At FAEC, we work towards creating awareness and implementing initiatives to protect the environment, regenerate nature and human health and to support sustainable farming methods across Sierra Leone and beyond.
Faec is committed to improving the livelihood security of rural communities, focusing on women, youth, and children. 
The organization is driven by the belief that sustainability can only be achieved if people are empowered, and in good health to take the lead in their own development aspirations through capacity building, polices regulations, advocacy, awareness-raising and partnerships with like-minded organizations and individuals.

The objective of its establishment was and still is to help alleviate people out of poverty, zero hunger, restoring biodiversity, promoting education and climate action.

At Faec, we believe that environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture are essential for overcoming poverty and protecting the planet. Our mission is to work with local communities to provide agricultural practices, quality education, forest & wildlife conservation, sustainable healthcare, and other essential services. 
We focus on food security in the promotion of sustainable farming practices, sustainable healthcare, environmental conservation, and addressing important issues like climate change and poverty. 

By promoting sustainable farming methods while creating awareness campaigns on health and climate change issues, we can help protect the environment and human health and ensure that future generations have access to the resources they need. 

We are committed to empowering youths and rural communities through consultations, policies, research & technology, infrastructure & energy, capacity building, dialogue, advocacy, awareness-raising, health communication, and partnerships with like-minded organizations and individuals.
