About us

WRI Europe works with the European Commission, national governments, companies and civil society organizations to support Europe in its global leadership on climate, development and environment, and to inform the continent’s contribution to the global recovery to COVID-19. 

WRI Europe’s regional office is in The Hague. There is also a large presence in London. 

WRI’s growing footprint in Europe amplifies the Institute’s global impact by drawing on the continent’s global intellectual, leadership and financing role in development and environmental issues. 

Staff are deeply involved in WRI’s programmatic work on core issues such as water, business, cities, climate, energy, food, forests and the ocean. We work closely with partners on natural resources and security, notably through the Water, Peace and Security initiative. Our office in The Hague is home to the Partnership for the Acceleration of the Circular Economy (PACE), a public-private collaboration platform advancing the transition to a global circular economy. Our staff also play key roles in core functions, including fundraising and communications.
