About us
Rwanda Initiative for Sustainable Environment and Agriculture (RISE) is a national, not for profit organisation that designs, implements and manages various programmes and grants around the country and region _ and collaborates on advocacy projects and campaigns. We collaborate with partners around the globe to foster human dignity, social justice and sustainability. We have been working on the challenges of our times and seeking to improve the lives of those in need. We collaborate to achieve change in our society and bring out the best in everyone involved. Working within RISE’ sectors below, we aim to contribute to systemic social change by combining our regional and global expertise with our grassroots networks all over the country. Through our partnerships in education, society, research on environment and agriculture and climate we enable changemakers to create societies and systems that work for everyone. We strive to understand the complexities of the systems we seek to change, assessing where we can make the most impact and engaging the skills and knowledge of broad coalitions of local and global partners to tackle the root causes of problems. RISE’ professionals develop and manage grants and programmes in Rwanda and the region. Lasting solutions aren’t achieved quickly or lightly, but we believe that together we can make a fairer, more sustainable world a reality. About us It’s impossible for one organisation to solve all the world’s challenges, so we focus on areas we understand best: Agriculture, Environment, (Environment) Health, sustainability and climate. With focus and cooperation, we work to advance human dignity around the country, region and world. These focus areas are represented by our four thematic sectors: Building a Healthy and Sustainable Future, Strengthening our Societies, Fostering Food Secure Communities, and Caring for the Earth How we work Together with our partners, our purpose is to create a just and sustainable future.
